The Gene Autry Roping Club (GARC) 2008
Valero Buckle Series
(A buckle will be awarded at the end of the
season to each winner) is scheduled for
April 12, May 10, June 14, July 12, and August 9 at the GARC arena, 6274 Gene
Autry Rd, located 2 miles east of Ardmore on Hwy 199 and 6 miles north on Gene
Autry Rd. Barrel racing and pole bending will be run at each playday, with the
remaining three events at each playday alternating among the flag race, potato
race, figure 8 cow horse, straight line barrels, goat tying, big T race, pole
keyhole, and pylon race. The age groups are 8 & under leadline, 8 & under,
9-12, 13-17, 18-54, and 55 & over. Payback on entry fees will be 30%, 25%, 15%
and 10%. At each playday one overall high point winner will receive an award.
Sign up to compete for the yearend awards can be done at the first two playdays
by paying a $10 registration fee. Contestants must ride in 4 of the 5 events in
3 of the 5 playdays to be eligible for the awards. Concession stand will be

Checotah Roundup Club 2008 Playdays Starting May 25, June 8, June 22, July 13, July 27, Aug 10, Aug 24, Sept.14, Sept 21, and Sept 28, 2008 at 2:30pm The playdays include the following events and age groups. Barrels, Flags, Poles, Goat undecorating and optional (optional is different each playday example is the pick-up race). Age groups are as follows Leadline 6 and under, 6 to 8, 9 to 11, 12 to 14 and 15 to 18 years of age. Age is determined by participants age on JAN 1, 2008. Events are $3.00 each.
