Travel Plaza and Casino located at the Hwy 18 exit off of I-412 (Cimarron
Turnpike). We will complete the drive on Thursday, proceeding through
downtown Pawnee to initiate the beginning of the 24th Annual Pawnee Bill
Memorial Rodeo. We will be driving 100 head of cattle each day, camping out
each night, and travel both on highway and private ranches and pastures.
There will be fun, excitement, and entertainment each night of the drive.
Some of the entertainment we are planning includes campfire music and
poetry, Wild West Show entertainment and contra dancing, Mountain Dulcimer

Oklahoma, Okmulgee State Park (5 miles west of Okmulgee, OK, on Highway

Longhorn Cattle Drive
in honor of Clem McSpadden, Claremore, OK. Longhorn steers will be
driven and handled directly by the Chain Ranch hands. We are asking for
participants to follow behind the Handlers and be part of the 1st annual
“Stampede Cattle Drive” in honor of Clem McSpadden. The cost to participate
and ride along is $15 which will include a chuck wagon feed at the end of
the trail (The Will Rogers Stampede Rodeo grounds) and a ticket to the rodeo
on Saturday night. All drovers need to be sure and have their horse’s
health papers current, their horse needs to be in shape and they will need
to follow orders from the Chain Ranch Trail Boss. Riders that do not want
to make the whole trip will be able to park at Sequoyah School and fall in
behind when the Cattle Drive reaches that point. Riders will need to be
sure of their horses capabilities to make a 12 mile ride and not interfere
